About

First and foremost, thank you for visiting my page! This is the part where I say something witty or engaging. That something that inspires you to dive deep into my photography and immerse yourself in the world through my eyes! So here we go...

My name is Todd. This page represents decades of gradual movement to get to this place where my photos are posted for the world to see. When I say gradual, think glacial-like movement.

I have always loved photography, why else would I have a photography page, right? It has been an escape from the stress of everyday life; a way to capture funny and meaningful moments; a chance to capture the world as I see it and show it to everyone else. It is my truest passion and my most elusive pursuit. Please enjoy the photos and check back in to see new images as I post them. I have lots and no photoshop, so it takes a while to sort through them...

It began a long time ago, with a 110 camera! For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a small camera that used a film canister that advanced the film for you, so you didn't accidentally expose it. Parents gave these to their kids back in the seventies and eighties as a way to let them take pictures, but also a way torment them as you had to have the film developed to see your photos. That costs money, money few kids had on hand. So, if you wanted to develop the photos you had to do extra chores. Diabolical!

Over the decades it has evolved to the photos you see on this page, and a much nicer digital camera. I have taken some great pictures, some good pictures and a lot of blurry pictures. I have had equipment failures that ruined good shots and user errors that should never have happened. It has been a learning curve for certain, sometimes that curve felt like I was standing at the bottom of a cliff looking straight up! Perserverance for this passion and hard headiness to learn the art kept me going through the frustrating years.

Most of what you will see here are landscape photos, Colorado is a wonderfully beautiful place to live if you love landscapes, or a nature-based abstract image. These are my favorite types of images, sometimes you can find these photos right outside your window.

There is one photo of a cute little Corgi named Fae! She has been the subject of a lot of my work; she has travelled all over the country with me and is that constant source inspiration that has kept you going for a decade now. This photo sums her personality up perfectly. What you won't see are on the page is all the side eye she has given me when I won't stop snapping pictures of her!

To my family and friends who have been a part of my life while I learned some skills, thank you for being there!

And last, but certainly not least, to my lovely wife who has suffered through endless hours of my mindless prattle and exasperated moments, thank you for patience and support!
